Not sure where to start?

If you have never had dulces de Mexico before, start sweet. Duvalin is creamy and has no heat at all, De La Rosa Mazapan is a crumbly peanut candy with no chile, and Vero Mango lollipops are sweet with a light chile dusting you can lick right off.

If you already know what you are doing, Pulparindo, Pelon Pelo Rico and the Lucas powders are where the real tamarindo and chile show up.

Frequently asked questions

Is all Mexican candy spicy?

No. Roughly half of this collection has no chile in it at all. Duvalin, De La Rosa Mazapan, Bubulubu, Kranky and obleas are purely sweet. The heat lives on the tamarindo and chamoy side of the catalog: Pulparindo, Pelon Pelo Rico, Lucas powders, Miguelito and Skwinkles.

What is the difference between chamoy and tamarindo candy?

Tamarindo is the fruit itself, sour and sticky, usually mixed with sugar and chile. Chamoy is a sauce or powder built from pickled fruit, chile, lime and salt, so it lands sweeter, saltier and more sour all at once. Tamarindo candy tastes like fruit. Chamoy candy tastes like a condiment.

What is Mexican powder candy?

Powder candy, or polvo, is a loose chile and fruit powder eaten on its own, dipped into with a lollipop, or sprinkled over fresh fruit. Lucas and Miguelito are the two names most people grew up with. Lucas Muecas pairs the powder with a lollipop in the same package.

Can I buy Mexican candy in bulk for a piñata or a party?

Yes. Most items are sold individually so you can mix exactly what you want, and volume pricing applies when you stock up. Multi count boxes and pre mixed variety packs are also available.

Do you ship Mexican candy nationwide?

Yes, anywhere in the United States. Shipping is free on orders over $50, and orders placed before 8:00 AM MST go out the same day.

Yes. Our shop is at 3465 Lee Blvd, Suite 251, El Paso, TX 79936, open Monday through Friday 10 to 6 and Saturday 10 to 4. In store prices are lower than online.
