About Us
Hola! I'm Antonio, the owner of Sabores de Mexico. I've always LOVED candy.. I grew up chasing the ice cream truck as a kid, trying to get my daily Pica Fresas. I sold candy as my first business back in high school, years before Sabores De Mexico had a name.
Sabores de Mexico started in 2022 with my best friend, Jose as a side hustle on Amazon. He eventually moved away and I took over the whole business. In 2023, after losing my job and with about $50 left in the bank and a house full of unsold candy, I figured I had nothing to lose listing my products on TikTok Shop. Ten TikTok videos later, the tenth one went viral, four million views, and everything changed.
My family didn't hesitate and all stepped in, packing orders, answering messages, keeping shelves stocked, out of that same spare room that later expanded to a warehouse in 2024.
Sabores De Mexico exists because too many people, far from home, miss the taste of their own childhood. This is my family's way of bringing that feeling back, one order of candy at a time.
Based in El Paso, Texas, with a shop open to the public and a catalog of 200+ products from the brands you grew up on: Dulces Vero, De La Rosa, Ricolino, Lucas, Pelon Pelo Rico, and so many more. Wherever you're ordering from, this is real Mexican candy, shipped fast, priced fair, all packaged by my family.
Gracias por apoyar a mi familia (thank you for supporting my family)!
Our core values
We are a first generation Mexican American family, and we are not borrowing this culture to sell candy. Everything we carry is what we grew up on. We would rather say less than say something that is not true to who we are.
Cheap and available is not enough. If the candy is not genuinely good, it does not go on the shelf. We buy what we would hand to our own family, because most of the time that is exactly who is packing your order.
Candy is tied to the ice cream truck, to birthdays, to whatever your abuela kept in the cupboard. That feeling is the whole point. We are here so you can share it with your own family, the same way it was shared with us.
Real Mexican candy should not be a rare treat you overpay for. We are on the border, we buy direct, and we keep prices where they should be so this stays something you can actually afford to enjoy.
